The Best St. Paddy’s Day Sweet Treats in Boston
Slowly all of our favorite foods and drinks are turning green before our eyes as our favorite leprechaun holiday fast approaches. St. Paddy’s Day is this Friday and we’re taking a sweet spin on the day of luck and charms. At the end of our rainbow lies these five sweet treats from around Boston to get you into the St. Paddy’s Day spirit!
Get lucky with these pancakes in marshmallow anglaise from the Southie staple, Lincoln Tavern, that definitely does not skimp on the Lucky Charms. They are serving these all week and weekend until 3pm each day.
but wait…there’s more…
Want to get lucky at home? Lincoln Tavern also offers a Lucky Charms Monkey Bread that you can bake at home. It’s made of cinnamon sugar dough balls, layered with sprinkles and Lucky Charms, and topped with lots of icing.
Union Square Donuts just dropped this new flavor this month right in time for St. Paddy’s Day. Their Grasshopper Bar is a doughnut filled with mint chocolate chip buttercream, then dipped in a mint milk glaze, and topped with homemade Oreo cookie crumble.
Our friends at Flour Bakery + Cafe have added the rainbow to their already amazing Brown Butter Rice Krispie Treats. For this week they are adding Fruity Pebbles and Lucky Charms to make this sweet treat more festive for St. Paddy’s Day.
Looking for a more adult spin on the Shamrock Shake? Honeycomb Creamery has got you covered! We are thrilled that they brought back their St. Patty’s Day Frappe made with Irish Cream ice cream that is blended with coffee and milk, poured into a hot fudge-drizzled cup, and topped with homemade chocolate whipped cream and festive Irish sprinkles.
Looking for an even more ADULT version of the Shamrock Shake? MAKE IT ALCOHOLIC. 21st Amendment in Beacon Hill is celebrating St. Paddy’s Day with a nod to Irish drinking culture with their boozy version of a Shamrock Shake. Surprise…it’s a cocktail and it’s sure to bring you luck *wink*.
