It’s here again! Time to watch the ball drop and say goodbye to one year as we welcome the next. As we ring in this new year, we wanted to share two of our favorite – and easy – ways to add a little extra sparkle to your New Year’s Eve toasts.  Whether you clink with mini bottles of bubbly or champagne cocktails, we wish you a year filled with good health and happiness and a wonderful celebration of the first moments of 2017! Happy New Year!

Fancied Up Personal Champagne Bottles
Mini Champagne Bottles

What’s better than a New Year’s toast with a champagne flute? How about your own little bottle of bubbles?!  Miniature things are cute and fun and personal sized bottles of booze are no exception!  We love making these a part of our NYE festivities here in Boston, and this year we maximized the fun factor with the addition of fancy straws and a black tulle bow. From red and green to black and gold just like that…Bring it, ’17!

Oh, 2016. With this particularly weird and wild year coming to a close, we may need something a little stronger than good ‘ol champagne to bid farewell to the year. The number seven is supposed to bring luck, and we’re hoping 2017 brings a lot of it! To further the odds, you can’t go wrong with a French 77 – double sevens and a unique twist on a classic champagne cocktail that’s perfect for any New Year’s celebration. Fingers-crossed that this combination of elderflower and lemon helps you ring in a great new year!

Here’s what you’ll need:

2 oz gin or cognac

½ oz Elderflower liqueur

½ oz simple syrup

1 oz lemon juice

2 oz champagne

Shake all the ingredients except the champagne in a shaker until cold and combined. Strain into glass and top with champagne. Garnish with twist of lemon peel if you want to get fancy!

CHEERS!
