Best Ways to Eat and Drink Apples in Boston This Fall
Before we go full force into our pumpkin spice stupor where all we see is orange, let us not forget about the magic of apple season! We’re turning Boston into our orchard this fall and finding places all over the city to enjoy apples in different drinks and dishes, both sweet and savory. Check out this list for your apple fix!
Margarita from Lolita
Stop by this hip Back Bay spot for a Spiced Apple Margarita. It’s made with Lolita reposado, peach liqueur, muddled apple, cinnamon, lime and cane sugar syrup. We want that in our glass…NOW.

Tiki Drink from Tiger Mama
If you want to enjoy your apples while still feeling tropical head to Tiger Mama’s tiki bar for their Tuk Tuk cocktail, which has fino & amontillado sherry, green apple, honey, cardamom, makrut lime, mascarpone, and soda. Who knew fall could feel so sunny?

Sandwich from Flour Bakery
Flour Bakery has been satisfying Boston’s sweet tooth for years now and while sticky buns and cookies come to mind first when you hear Flour, news flash, they also make awesome sandwiches and salads! If you want to taste their savory version of fall go for their smoked turkey sandwich with apple & dill slaw, cranberry chutney, aged cheddar, on multigrain bread.

Small Plate from Mei Mei
For an extra creative and delicious way to enjoy apples this fall try the Dim Sum Turnip Cakes from Mei Mei served with their very own apple hoisin sauce. Our mouths are watering just thinking about it. If you really can’t get enough, just like us, you can buy a bottle of their apple hoisin to take home with you (and we highly recommend it).

Burger from Boston Burger Company

Brunch at Waypoint
Apples may not be the star of this jaw-dropping dish but they’re in a deliciously creative element that the dish can’t go without. Waypoint in Cambridge is making their own brunch rules and we want to follow them! They’ve come up with a spin on chicken and waffles and we’re all about it. They’re serving chicken fried oysters and waffles with buttermilk & bacon gravy, and roasted apple honey.

Apple & Date Crostata from Mamaleh’s
Check out Mamaleh’s for a dessert where apples are sweetened, spiced, and baked inside a flaky, buttery crust with dates. Please hold while we wipe the drool off our face. This Jewish deli knows how to treat an apple. While you’re there be sure to try their homemade apple sauce too. There’s no such thing as too many apples a day.

Dutch Apple Pie from Rosebud American Kitchen & Bar
There’s nothing more American than apple pie, and quite frankly no more satisfying dessert when the leaves are turning colors. Try the Dutch Apple Pie from Rosebud this fall and your craving will be fulfilled. They make some of the best pie we’ve ever had—after our grandmothers of course. No one beats them. But they come pretty darn close.

Ice Cream from Honeycomb Creamery
Even when it’s chilly outside we have ice cream on the brain. We’re currently obsessed with everything at Honeycomb Creamery, especially their fall flavors. They have three to choose from: Brandied Apple Pavlova, Apple Cider Donut, and Cinnamon Apple (vegan). Three scoops fit in a cone right…?
