Looking for a lifeline this Turkey Day? There are plenty of restaurants and stores in the South End offering great take-out menus and Thanksgiving menus that’ll have you giving thanks.   Here are our 7 picks for great restaurants willing to lend a helping hand:

Darryl’s Corner Bar & Kitchen

Channel some true hospitality and shower your guests with tastes of the south with the take out offerings from Darryl’s. Take home pork ribs, black-eyes peas, peach cobbler and pecan pie and transport your Thanksgiving guests to a warmer climate. Drawl not included!

Butcher Shop

The Butcher Shop

While turkey might be the star on any Thanksgiving table, it can’t hurt to have some supporting actors. At the Butcher Shop, you can pick up ready-to-cook cuts like grass-fed rib roast and prime beef tenderloin. You can also pick up prepared sides like Maple Whipped Sweet Potatoes and Caramelized Brussels Sprouts. Just remember to thank them when your guests give you the Oscar for best meal!

The Beehive

Opening at 11:30 am, the Beehive will be serving up Thanksgiving goodness all day long. With a $55 per person 3 course prix fixe menu, guests can pick their custom dinner while enjoying live music. Need a late night dose? After 10pm, sample from the leftover menu!

Kids menus will be available, as well as vegetarian and gluten free options. Reservations are encouraged and can be made at 617-423-0069

Formaggio Kitchen South End

Don’t let your guests go hangry while waiting for the main event! Formaggio’s taking orders for expertly-made cheese plates to ward off those pre-dinner cravings. Go ahead and grab some figs and olives to accompany it- it is Thanksgiving, after all!

Orders should be placed by 6:00 PM Sunday, November 22nd by calling 617-350-6996 or by filling out an order form at the store.

Flour Bakery & Cafe

Free up some space in the oven and let Flour take care of your baking needs. If you’re looking for some savory options, grab some buttermilk biscuits with parsley and sage or double corn cornbread with honey and fresh thyme. Or, start Thanksgiving early and let Flour take care of breakfast. Order some pumpkin spice bread, maple pecan cranberry teacake, or gingerbread with coffee glaze- and just think of it as a warm-up!

Buttery

South End Buttery

Spice up your Thanksgiving dessert rotation by offering some non-traditional sweet treats from the Buttery. With options like chocolate salted caramel cupcakes, pumpkin buttery buns, and bourbon pecan pie, we don’t think anyone will be too heartbroken.

Order forms can be found online and are due no later than noon at Monday November 23rd.   Pick ups will be at the Shawmut location only.

Stephi’s on Tremont

To unwind after a long day of cooking and entertaining, come to Stephie’s on Tremont to grab a drink and relax. If you’re still a little hungry, they’ll be offering their bar menu when they open at 5pm. Looking for somewhere to grab a traditional dinner? Both Stephanie’s on Newbury and Stephi’s in Southie will be open at noon serving Thanksgiving feast!
