I'm proud to support our local eateries.
Since 2011, I’ve had the pleasure of working with some incredible chefs, owners and restaurateurs. Boston is unlike anywhere else in the world because of them.
Join us to experience Boston in a unique and delicious way – through its incredible food!

Frequently Asked Questions
Will we just be visiting restaurants to sample food?
Definitely not! In addition to delicious local food tastings, we also serve up a hearty helping of neighborhood commentary. We’ll share interesting information about the backgrounds and inspiration of the chefs/owners behind the eateries we visit, as well as plenty of historical, cultural and architectural information relevant to the South End neighborhood.
How much walking is involved?
Our South End tours last 3 hours and generally cover less than 1.5 miles of total walking distance.
Will there be enough to eat?
Yes! Our tours offer hearty portions at multiple local eateries – plenty of food for a satisfying lunch!
What about beverages?
There will be water available with nearly all tastings. Additionally, while food is the focus of our experiences, we may have a beverage pairing or two for you along the way! In the case of an alcoholic pairing, we will also offer a non-alcoholic option.
Are there vegetarian options available?
We can provide vegetarian options in most tasting locations with advance notice. Please be sure to make this request when purchasing tickets as we will not be able to arrange for alternative options on the day of the tour.
We are not able to accommodate a vegan diet on any of our tours.
What if I have a dietary restriction or food allergy?
The dietary restrictions and allergies we are able to accommodate are listed and may be selected at checkout for each of our tours. All substitutions must be requested in advance, so please indicate accordingly in your reservation when purchasing tickets.
Please note: All tastings are coordinated with the restaurants ahead of time to coincide with out arrival so we are not able to make last minute changes on the fly on the day of the tour.
Where does it start?
We meet our guests at the first tasting location, which differs depending on the tour and the neighborhood. Once the tour has been booked and paid for, we will send a confirmation email which will include the meeting location details, as well as other helpful day of tour information.
What if it rains?
We have fun in all types of weather, so tours run rain or shine! As locals, we are well-versed with New England weather, and have designed our Private Tour itineraries to be able to avoid less than desirable conditions when necessary. So, please wear comfortable clothes and shoes for walking, dress for the forecast, and bring an umbrella if rain is predicted. We will take care of the rest!
Can children participate in the tour?
Children ages 12 and older are welcome to participate.
Our tours were created as an adult experience, last 2.5 – 3 hours and include a significant amount historical, cultural and/or architectural information. We spend a lot of time outdoors and on our feet, and past experience has shown this to be quite challenging for the attention spans of young children.
What about infants and strollers?
Children ages 12 and older are welcome to participate in our tours. This activity is not appropriate to attend with infants and, due to space limitations, strollers are not permitted on any of our tours.
Are things wheelchair accessible?
Yes, our tours are accessible for wheelchairs. Please let us know ahead of time if you have any guests using wheelchairs so we may prepare and make any necessary accommodations accordingly.
*Please note: In the South End, there is 1 market that requires 2 steps for entry, however, this is an “on the go” tasting, and we most often enjoy this tasting outdoors.
Do tour guides accept gratuities? Are they included in the ticket price?
Tour guide gratuities are not included in the ticket price. While not mandatory, if you had a great time, gratuities will be graciously accepted by your tour guide at the end of the tour. We also include the option to include gratuity at time of booking. The standard gratuity in the industry is 10-20%.
*Gratuities for restaurant staff are included in ticket prices.
