Father’s Day kind of sneaks up on you and it’s almost here. *hint, hint* it’s THIS Sunday. If you’re looking for things to do, it’s going to be okay! We’ll let you take all the credit for picking the best restaurant in Boston to match your dad’s personality. This is kind of like a BuzzFeed quiz, but we’ve done the work for you. You still have the whole week to decide, so take a look and choose one of the options we’ve given for awesome sips and eats to make this Father’s Day a special one.

The Baseball Tavern is located right in the Fenway neighborhood, which is already a sports hub in the city. The Sox may be out of town this Father’s Day but this sports bar has multiple floors including arcade games in the basement and a roof top deck that’ll make you feel like you’re at a game.

If your dad is a smooth and classy dude that loves a little history and a touch of Europe, then Les Sablons is the place for him. This new spot is housed within the iconic Conductor’s Building in Harvard Square and claims to be somewhere between London and Paris. It’s modern and elegant in an unpretentious way and a great place to celebrate Father’s Day with your hip dad.

If your dad is the kind of cool cat who wants to kick back and have some casual fun then this new hot spot in Central Square is the perfect place for him. The love child of Roxy’s Grilled Cheese and Area Four, A4cade offers unique two-handed sandwiches to get messy with and classic arcade games. This place is a great time but one thing to note is that this space is 21+ at all times.

Mellow and Unfussy Guy, take him to Mamaleh’s or Sweet Cheeks Q

If you have the kind of dad who is pretty easygoing and just happy to spend some family no matter what you’re doing or where you’re eating then take him to Mamaleh’s. This comforting and laid back modern Jewish diner is a great place to grab a milkshake and a sandwich and enjoy the company you’re with, sans tablecloths.

Sweet Cheeks is such a dad place, it’s messy barbecue in a fun, relaxed environment full of wood, whiskey, beer, and excellent service. The beer garden is also a great option to kick back outside. Scorpion balls are always encouraged.

Dad Joke Dad, take him to State Park or The Friendly Toast

If you have that whacky dad that won’t stop telling dad jokes then take him to a left of center place to match his personality where he’ll fit right in. State Park is playful and campy, serving American fare with the volume turned up and creative beverages. We’re sure after a drink or two the jokes will be flying.

The Friendly Toast is a favorite of ours and one of it’s Boston locations is a neighbor of State Park so if you can’t decide where to go or your dad tells one joke that’s just tooooo corny, you have an escape. This spot is like a giant cartoon with diner vibes and serves huge, tasty dishes that will fill your belly.
